Phone Interview for Wells Fargo Summer Analyst Diversity Forum
I have a phone interview for this program later today, and I was wondering if it would be more behavioral or technical? Thanks

Definitely more behav Questions in 1st round. Maybe a few easy accounting questions...."walk through 3 financial stmts" - maybe a purchase or depreciation question
Thank you! She did asked how would I explain the 3 financial statements to someone with no accounting knowledge.
The application closed 4 days ago and you already got invited to a phone interview? When did you apply?
I applied back in June. The interviewer told me that she was going on vacation next week(interviews are next week) so they moved mine up. There are 100 or so spots total. We should get invitations the middle of August. Good luck!
I know this is really late, but I just applied 2 weeks ago on my career services site (at a completely non-target state school on the west coast). Received an email 3 days later saying that I had to apply on the WF career website the following week within literally a 24 hour window, and then received a first round invitation for phone interview 6 days later.
Behavioral definitely. Had a phone interview for MS RBF last year and was completely thrown off by how not technical it was.
I have an interview this Monday.. Is it mostly behavioral? Some accounting technicals? I'd appreciate any help from anyone who's done this interview already, thanks!
UPDATE I just had my interview for the Summer Financial Analyst Diversity Forum: Walk me through your resume, "tell me about a time" type questions, how do I keep up with the markets, and how to explain the 3 financial statements to someone who doesn't know accounting. Overall, easier than expected.
Did not interview for this specific position but for another internship with Wells. First round phone interview was mostly behavioral. I remember them asking about a specific time when I was working on something and there was an unexpected change and how I handled it. There was also a question about where I get my financial news from and an example of a recent article that I read. The closest thing to a technical question that I got was to describe the financial statements and how they flow together. Overall not difficult and my second round was more of the same.
Does this program require you to submit a transcript? I remember applying earlier in the summer with a resume but I don't think I sent in an unofficial transcript...I was wondering if I had forgotten or this was for all applicants. Thanks!
I don't believe so... It didn't say that we needed one.
Thanks for the response. Do you know what percentage of applicants who get an interview end up getting in the program?
No transcripts were needed
Did anyone else get an email about completing an application on the 18th on their website? Is this where we'd put our transcripts? It looks like we'll find out by the end of the day on Monday.
The application on the 18th didn't require a transcript either. But yeah we should be getting results by Monday.
Also had an interview- same "give me and example of a time" behavioral questions, then walk me through financial statements as if explaining to someone who didn't know anything about it. How I keep up with news, an example of something that happened recently that would affect economy, not including Brexit.
Did you guys interview with a banker or someone from HR?
HR
I got into the Minneapolis one!
Congrats! When did you find out? Did they let you know via phone or email?
I'll be attending the one in Charlotte NC, any insight?
Unless they've changed how the forum is structured, you won't be interviewing for any IB jobs. The SFAP program is for WF's Commercial/Corporate banking programs
What's the interview like for the Commercial/Corporate banking programs? Technical?
