Anyone heard back yet from Piper Jaffray Investment Banking Career Exploration Program for this summer? I had an HR phone call with them, but their final decisions are supposed to go out soon.

Yeah pretty much, chat with a hot HR for about 30 mins. She's pretty chill and there is no technical. Of course I don't think she knows any technical.

I did this last year and it took about a month between the phone interview and the invitation.
What do you think about the program? Useful?
I didn't really learn anything new but, if you're interested in working at Piper, it's a great pipeline into the company. It's also a good thing to mention in other interviews so other companies know you're serious about IB. Overall, I liked it and it's a free trip to Minneapolis. It's also probably a good program for them to grab talent and grow as a company.
Main benefit is you get a guaranteed first round interview (I think)
