Not bad, but.........

"Greed, in all of its forms; greed for life, for money, for love, for knowledge has marked the upward surge of mankind. And greed, you mark my words, will not only save Teldar Paper, but that other malfunctioning corporation called the USA."

How do you show the entire video in the screen? I did it once and can't do it again.

That was fantastic. How do you convince a hot, celebrity chick to do this kind of video? It's like: hey, so, I got this great role for you...

Although my iPod composed of ~93% metal bands, I still think this song is awesome:

I win here, I win there...

Holy shit, that's so awesome that you know about The Limousines! I love their stuff.

And of a serious note, I love just about everything Mike Patton (of Faith No More) does (except his solo work under his own name, I am not a fan of "mouth noises" comprising a song without instruments or singing.) This is an amazing live performance of a Marvin Gaye song by one of his side projects- Peeping Tom.

Reality hits you hard, bro...

Used to lax with this guy. He really loves AP [warning:halfway through NSFW]

I got two.... one's definitely more nerdstyle humor. I gotta throw down the MC Chris to compete with The Lonely Island.

This is "Fett's Vette" which goes out to all the Star Wars Fans out there! It also doesn't hurt that they used this great MC Chris Classic in Zack and Miri make a Porno.

Now.... On to the real contribution.

My contribution to the actual thread though is a cover of a song called "Everything Good is Bad" by JJ Grey & MoFro. I've been on a huge R&B kick lately and discovered JJ Grey & MoFro while trying to find a song from the movie "Formula 51" aka "The 51st State". If you haven't seen it, I recommend it. It's got a couple things going for it. It has Robert Carlye, Emily Mortimer, Meatloaf (Yes... THAT Meatloaf) and Samuel L. Jackson in a kilt. Surprisingly well done movie.... but I was looking for the song in the closing credits, "Everything Bad is Good", and that's how I discovered these guys.

I've listened to their first four albums and I enjoy it. It's extremely chill.

That is awesome! Not really my genre, so good on you for finding a song I like.

The song I want to contribute is one that will never get old for me:

newterp@stringer, where'd you go to high school?

Bullis School

Couldn't even get through the entire Shawshank video.

I think this is one of the funniest Lonely Island videos ever done.

But on a serious note, I've been listening to this some a lot lately. I like NAS and have never been a Damian Marley fan, but they did a great job with this one. Might be worth your time to look up the lyrics too.

That is all.

Regards

Keeping in line with what I had posted earlier, I'm still digging the whole R&B sound and wanted to contribute something from that side of the spectrum again. I spent my commute time today enjoying John Legend and The Roots joint "Wake Up" this morning. I wanted to use Little Ghetto Boy, but I couldn't find a good enough non-VEMO copy, so I went with another song I liked, Hard Times.

The other track I want to share is from a band I was listening to this afternoon. It's a Danish metal band called Volbeat and they are a mix of styles and sound pretty damn good. Both tracks are live since I couldn't find an actual music video for either one. Plus, having seen these guys live, I think the live sounds better than the studio album. By the way, these guys are amazing live. I had the privilege of seeing them when they played in NYC back in August. Best show I've seen in a while. I would post something from their new album, but I still can't figure out which tracks I like more. The first song by them I've posted is the title track off their album "Guitar Gangsters and Cadillac Bloods".

The second song by Volbeat is called "Still Counting." It's also the same album as the first track.
