Recruiters and Headhunters in London?

How can I find recruiters and headhunters for AM ideally, if not, then for IB?

What’s the best route to go about finding enlisting and contacting recruiters/headhunters as an undergrad? LinkedIn? Networking? Direct?

Will be joining a non-target/semi non-target in London (QMUL), so I feel I’ll need to know about these to secure SW and/or SA roles.

Thanks in advance, any and all responses are greatly appreciated.

bro you're an undergrad headhunters don't give a shit about you

edit: checked your post history, you seem willing to learn. Here's a todo list: - You have to decide between AM and IB. It's not "I'll try to get into AM but if it doesn't work I'll go into IB" - Take courses related to finance/economics/business, join the finance club of your university - During your first year, apply to spring weeks (this means you have to make a choice between AM and IB) - Try to get an internship for Summer 2021. Your chances to get an AM/IB internship at this point are extremely low, so just get a basic accounting internship or something at a startup in strategy/analytics - During your spring week, network with the people there. Add them on LinkedIn. Don't get too serious about the whole LinkedIn dicksucking thing tho, you're in the UK not the US, networking doesn't work here. - Study IB/AM on your own and apply early to Summer internships (summer 2022) - Do well during your SA to get a return offer

1 - I’m currently deciding what I really want to do (pay/how stimulating + interesting the work is/exit opps/work-life balance, etc). AM seems to tick these boxes right now, looking more at EBs than BBS though.

2 - Definitely doing those.

3 - Definitely doing that, I’m currently researching spring weeks right now (how they work/application/networking/offers, etc).

4 - Will do that. Why are my chances of an AM/IB internship low in 1st year? And what can I do to improve my chances? I know that any experience is usually good/useful, but if the internship isn’t relevant, would that be seen as less valuable/less useful?

5 - I think I’d kick myself if I didn’t network during spring/summer internships. In regard to networking, I plan on doing whatever I can to build my network early on, as I think it could be very useful later on in my career. In addition to LinkedIn, I’ll be attending career fairs and events all across London, using my uni’s alumni network, cold emailing + getting in touch with as many people as possible, in BBs, EBs, MMs, etc.

6 - Definitely, especially during first year, when the workload isn’t as great as it will be in 2nd/3rd year.

7 - Certainly doing that.

Thanks for the extensive and detailed response - I just want to ensure I’m doing whatever I can to differentiate myself from everyone else, in order to maximise my career potential. Right now, despite how lazy I am, this is just about the only thing I proactively care about, so I sincerely appreciate helpful responses like yours!
