Financial Reporting to Credit / Capital Markets Roles

Hi fellas,

I'm a Year 1 analyst at a major Japanese bank, doing financial reporting and analytics for PE funds (basically back office). I graduated from a big state school in the Southeast with a 3.2 GPA and had a commercial banking internship (no return offer due to budget cuts). Currently, I'm attempting to get back towards commercial banking + corporate banking + DCM + lending/LevFin-type roles. I was wondering whether I am a fit for this, and besides just spamming out a ton of applications, what can I do?
