Recruiting timeline (UK edition)

I will be starting at a target this year in the UK (not Oxbridge, think LSE, UCL, Imperial, Warwick). It’s a 3 year program and I’m curious to know what the recruiting timeline looks like. For reference/context, I’m an Indian citizen (follow up question: does this make me a diversity for hiring?) When are internships? What’s the difference between an SA and SW? What are return offer rates like at these types of internships? I feel like I might not be asking the right kind of questions, so if anyone could tell me what the recruiting process/timeline looks like, I’d greatly appreciate it!
