Recruitment for Houston Banks
Is recruitment for banks who have offices in Houston reserved primarily for UT Austin and Rice students or do students from the east coast (Big-10 semi-target) also get offers?

Not sure - I know that 8 banks have done their superdays for UT already (SA 2018 internships)
UT, Rice and A&M would have the best chances of OCR
Depends upon the industry and the bank itself. I have a few friends out that way in O&G
Recruiting for Houston from the Northeast (Originally Posted: 01/25/2018)
I am currently a sophomore at a lower ivy league school. I am from Houston and would like to get a 2019 summer analyst position in investment banking there. Is this reasonable and if so how do I go about accomplishing this? Any advice would be appreciated.
Try a search term such as "summer analyst investment banking Houston" and that should pull up quite a few good results. Also, go onto the websites of BB's and other banks and see if Houston is in the listing of opportunities. One last thing is to reach out to alumni from your school and see if they have any advice/can get you a position at the banks they work at. Also cold call/email if you really can't seem to find anything. But Houston is a big city and I don't think it will come to that, just as a last resort. hope this helps and let me know if you have any other questions/comments. And good luck!

Question on Houston SA recruiting timeline (Originally Posted: 11/12/2013)
I am trying to decide on whether or not I can commit to something with a date in mid-February. I was wondering how late the recruiting timeline goes for summer analysts in Houston for both bulge brackets and boutiques. The possible time conflict pertains to something finance-related. I just don't want to miss any of the superdays that I may be able to attend over there. Thanks.
Everything will be wrapped up before the end of January
Most offers will be out by mid January and will explode within a week. A few smaller banks may recruit later in the process, but the BBs and elite boutiques will be wrapped up by then.
As has been said above, Houston recruiting is mostly wrapped up by the end of January. You won't be missing any super days in February.
