Republican Support for Impeachment

I am glad that republicans found a spine and seem to be supporting impeachment but...

This is why I view politicians self serving and unethical until they prove otherwise.  Only when their lives are in danger do they all of a sudden support impeachment.   They were all sucking up to Trump until the Capitol was attacked by an angry mob.  These scoundrels(, dems and repubs) only act when they think it is in their own best interests.  They care about themselves and that it about it.

Well, I am a universe of one when it comes to liberals posting topics. That is okay, as I accustomed to this by now.   Every work environment I have ever worked in has been mostly republican.  There are some liberals here (not many) but they do not want to post topics.

Most of the sycophancy ended once Biden won, and the GA loss and degenerate uprising were the last straws. They got their judges so who really gives a shit other than the ones gunning for 2024. Cotton must be thrilled about Hawley’s fall from grace though

Don't agree with a lot of Cotton's stances but actually respect him some now and glad to see he's not a moron like most of the ReTrumplicans

Not really like he had a choice, since the Alex Jones lane was already pretty full with Cruz, Hawley, and DeSantis

I'm sure it'll be just as wonderful a use of time and tax payer money as the first one was.

No worries, we can cover it by getting Trump to pay back the $150 million of taxpayer money he spent on golf trips.

Sure, right after Congress pays back the several trillion they used to bailout the largest companies in the country while simultaneously clutching the purse strings when tens of millions of unemployed Americans are begging for assistance. Let's pretend Trump's the only President to ever play golf because that's clearly a topic central to the issue here. It's like you people are incapable of critical thought.

Agreed - although it's a shrewd political move on the Republicans' part. Various sources reporting McConnell is quite pleased with Democrats pursuing impeachment against Trump, as he sees it as a golden opportunity to purge the Republican Party of the unpredictable albatross that is Donald Trump. GOP sources saying McConnell is furious about the Capitol riots and if he breaks his silence in favour of impeaching Trump, it's almost a certainty that the majority of Republican Senators will fall in line. Looks like the GOP's useful idiot is no longer useful to them.
