Restructuring / Distressed Companies

Hi,

what book (books) would you consider a must-read for anybody who is planning to buy a distressed business and try to bring it back to life?

(I am aware that real methods can come just from experience, but any sources that will provide some insight on the restructuring process would be of great help.)

Thank you!

Thanks but that looks like a book for investment in terms of value investing ala Buffett.

I meant smth more of a guide "You bought a bankrupt company, now what?" type of book. Where the author would outline restructuring strategies, what to cut first, what to expand, how to structure such a deal etc...

I've got a long list of books i've read on the subject. But it's just a list, PM me with specifics and I'll help you out. Is this theoretical, are you experience in turnarounds and just looking for the distressed M&A part, do you have a target, size, industry, do you understand debt restructuring, etc.

Global buyer of highly distressed industrial companies. Pays Finder Fees Criteria = $50 - $500M revenues. Highly distressed industrial. Limited Reps and Warranties. Can close in 1-2 weeks.

Oops, I missed your final comment. Start with Don Bibeault's Corporate Turnaround. It's THE definitive book on the subject. Join the TMA while you're at it. www.turnaround.org

If you have a real deal and looking for a partner, PM me.
