Bobb:
Can't comment on that exact phone but I do have a Galaxy Nexus and it is a truly amazing phone. The Super AMOLED screen is beatuiful

I'm actually also looking to upgrade my phone. Really leaning towards the Nexus for now. Does anyone else have any recommendations? Should I wait for a new droid to come out? I read that the Nexus will be running ICS exclusively for the first few months though, which is a huge plus.

Lastly, how does it compare to the iphone? I'd really like to steer clear of getting an iphone, but if it's better than I might just cave.

All input appreciated. Thanks.

ive had the Galaxy S 2 since august and I switched from a Blackberry Storm... smartest move I've made in a long time.

The phone is super fast and the screen is crystal clear. I used to look at my ex-girlfriends iPhone 4 screen and I say "how do you live with such a blurry image?" lol! I get rave reviews about how amazing my phone is whenever some poor iPhone or Blackberry sap looks at it... what does that tell you?

Every app that you really want is on the android marketplace, and if its not then you really dont need it... you will feel so much better once you switch to Android hahahaha

I've had the international/unlocked S2 (not Skyrocket which has LTE on 700mhz) since the end of the summer. Skyrocket is basically the same as the original S2 with the updated radio, so you will get speeds of 15-35mbit/s depending on where you are. Of course that doesn't make a huge difference when you have a 2gb cap on your data plan over the HSPA speeds of 5-10mbit/s that I get with my non-Skyrocket edition.

However, the S2 international will be getting Ice Cream Sandwich over Kies and OTA this quarter, while I believe the Skyrocket will not until AT&T modifies the firmware on their own. So if you don't have an issue with Gingerbread 2.3.4 (you shouldn't) over the new ICS changes, get the phone. You could also wait a few months till Q2 when the S3 international edition launches for ~$700. Probably looking at May launch again.

My brother and I both have the S2.

The shit is money.

srs....

i was going to get an iphone 4, but then i went to the att store to look at phones and it was love at first site.

you pay 200 dollars for both phones...but one is DEFINITELY in a different tier.

take a look at it in real life, and you'll know what i mean.

i give the s2 a 10/10

Just a heads up for those in the phone market...Sprint will be realeasing the Nexus Prime (maybe called something different) as one of their first 4G LTE phones. This is very similar to the S2 but runs a 'pure' Android OS.

Not sure on timing yet, but Sprint will be launching some of it's LTE capable markets by mid-2012.

when the nexus came out i wen t and played with it and its garbage... lagging like a club footed retard and just plain ugly displays, the screen was great but the Galaxy S2 is still better... i'll wait until Samsung puts ICS into a new Galaxy and then go and upgrade...
