SIE practice exams
All,
Just wanted to know if there is more than one practice exam for the SIE on FINRA's website, or if there is only one. Would like to practice as many as I can from their website so I can get used to the way they present questions.
Thanks in advance.
There is only one FINRA practice exam for the SIE. If you are looking for supplemental information, you can check my podcast. Some of the content might be a little advanced for the SIE but you will need to know it for the 7 or 66.

I would give you an SB for your topic but for some strange reason, the system will not allow me to do it.
Good luck on the exams
thanks. I'm using STC to study and they have exams, but I have heard that the wording is different than the actual FINRA exam wording
Every prep provider's wording is going to be different than what you will see on the actual exam.
Interested as well. Wasn't sure if FINRA's practice exam updates it's questions bank. Haven't taken it yet since I'm planning on doing it tomorrow. I guess if I take it a second time I'll update here if it's the same group of questions. I'd imagine they are.
My guess would be that the second time you take it, your score will be very high...
What practice tests did u guys take? I have a bunch of Knopman stuff
I only have the Knopman book that I was able to get my hands on... Their website has a free dianostic exam. 75 Qs 2018 v12 is what I used.
Do you have digital practice exams you're willing to share? PM if so - appreciate it.
sorry I just checked - I paid for Knopman stuff, downloaded the docs, but never studied for it / took it (didn’t need to) so I never downloaded or took practice exams my login may actually still work lol but happy to share all the other docs I was provided for each section. I’m sure there’s good stuff
I really have to ask as someone grandfathered in, are people who studied actually failing the SIE?
Yes, there are various reasons for not passing the SIE including but not limited to poor study habits, no investment experience, learning issues such as ADD, ADHD, dyslexia, etc.
Hey AMInPhase1,
Most of the time, you need to work with a vendor's material to take practice exams. Every vendor's practice exams are a little different, and none of them can truly claim to perfectly represent the language of the test.
I usually would recommend taking tests from different vendors (my company Achievable has strong FINRA SIE practice exams, and Kaplan sells them a la carte I believe) if you want more exposure to different languages and question types, but the SIE is pretty easy so that probably isn't necessary. Good tip for future Series exams though.
Best of luck! Tyler
Bump, studying for the SIE right now and found this article: https://warren-jackson.medium.com/the-finra-sie-my-experience-studying-…;
Broke down some random study guide that seemed useful, worth skimming.
