Sophomore internship - does it matter for PE recruiting

Hi monkeys,

I am a sophomore, and I have recently signed at an EB. At the moment I do not have a sophomore internship and I wanted to get your advice on what I should do next. These are options I am considering:

-Try to get a private equity internship to have some private equity experience for when I will recruit PE after IB and start to see if this is something I would like

-try to get some IB/asset management/finance just to fill my CV for the summer

-relax and do no internship

For more context, I am not diversity

sounds good and the last question, do you think that what you actually do matters, like the experience you do might come up in interviews or since it is a no-name shop everything will be based on junior summer and FT experience? SB after this :)

Hey, I'm currently in a similar situation and was wondering what decision you made + whether you think it worked out. Please lmn and would love to DM if ur available.
