Thoughts on Evercore London?

I am fairly well acquainted with Evercore NY however, have a connection in the London EVR office.

How is the reputation? Is it improving?

Does/Can it compute with other BB's/EB's in London/EMEA?

Good Exit Opportunities?

All input is appreciated.

To give you a little bit of background, Evercore really started its London operations by acquiring Lexicon in 2011. Therefore, it is definitely not on the same level as in NY. Simultaneously, the firm has expanded quite rapidly in London and is actively trying to increase the size of specific satellite offices in Europe which is incredibly important and the reason why RS/Lazard are generally better than the US boutiques. IMO Evercore has very strong momentum and will probably be on a similar level to RS/Lazard within the next 5-7 years in London as it continues to be the best boutique in the US. Therefore, probably similar to BBs like Barclays/UBS/DB right now.

I appreciate the comment. I was aware of the Lexicon acquisition.

So its still a solid place to land an analyst gig, correct?

Yes, for sure. Especially in terms of the experience that you will have. Simultaneously the top teams at even lower BBs will probably be better (Barclays PUI, DB LevFin etc.) for exits.
