How tf are there 20 BB's? Is Stout also a BB now? FFS.
All big 3 BBs have solid ER, JPM in my opinion a bit better than MS/GS, so FT recruit ability should be fine. Personally know a few people that did ER SA gigs at BBs that then recruited FT successfully for BB/EB. Just an intern, but in my opinion as SAs we really don't do much of substance, so signalling you're a high-quality candidate through the ER gig then spinning the summer as a reason why you're really interested in banking sounds better than any marginal skills you would pick up through the low-tier IB internship.

I get it...it's a trick question because there aren't even 10 BBs. This guy is going to give out some wicked brainteasers when he gets to interview candidates.
GS ER really isn't top 3 on the street. If you want top of the street ER go to UBS/C/BaML/JPM. If you do join a MS/GS then lateraling internally to IBD shouldn't be insanely hard if it's in a coverage role, you'll have to prove yourself, but you'll have an edge over others if you hold your own.
