Transfer Student and Extra Summer

Hello Everyone,

I am have been doing my research about IB for a while but it wasn't until recently that I realized the amount of work that I would need to actually put in. Right now I have a referral for BofA and Wells Fargo. I am also attending the GS undergrad series, and have applied for the Wells Fargo leadership Juniors academy, apart from that I have had a few coffee chats with MS and GS employees and I am gonna keep following up with them.

I have also started studying hardcore modeling and reading the textbooks and online like soubeiga, benninga, etc and forums(any recommendations  for this?). My plan is to be ready by end of June with a working knowledge of Excel, DCF, Three Statement evaluations, and anything else I can fit in.

Now I have the option of taking doing a study abroad in fall 22, which would give me an extra summer 23 and I have been considering this in case I don't get anything good for Summer 22. i will be a junior in fall 21.

and I am also a transfer student and I will be going to a top-50 liberal arts college, it has some good alumni in BofA and Wells Fargo and regional banks around the Carolinas, but not an extensive network. So what do you all think I should do, given all of this?

Looks like your going to Davidson. As of now, it would appear that you have a very small network. If you are financially able to do so, I would push back your graduation so you can significantly build the size and scope of your network. Additionally, I would focus more on networking right now than on modeling or technicals. Modeling and technicals only matter if you get interviews, and interviews only happen if you network like crazy.

I hate to say it but it’s too late to network for summer 2022. This years recruiting cycle was the earliest ever so you should start networking ASAP for 2023 as we are closer to the start of 2023 recruiting than we are to 2022 recruiting.
