UMich Vs UCLA vs IU

I was recently accepted to UMich,UCLA as well as IU Bloomington.I am also currently waiting on UCB,Emory,UNC and Cornell.Among the colleges I have been accepted to which would you recommend I attend to maximise my chances at IB(this is purely at undergrad). Also while I have not gotten exact specifics from IU about the scholarship(long story) but it will end up costing about 60% of what the other colleges cost.
I thank you guys for your guidance and time

So there's definitely some good news: You can get to IB from every school you listed above. The difference relies in the opportunities/recruiting/location. For UMich, if you don't get into Ross, IB will likely be an uphill climb. Out of all the places you mentioned, I think you'll be the best off at Cornell, not only for prestige, but also in case you decide you don't want to do IB. This is especially important if you want to be in NYC. And you don't have to be an AEM major at Cornell, you just have to have killer grades because OCR can be tough. If you want to be in Chicago, I'd say Umich and then IU. For the West Coast, I'd say UCB and then UCLA. I'd really only recommend Emory if you want to be in the South, and UNC if you want to be in the Mid-Atlantic. However, i would say that you shouldn't base what college you go to off of your chances to get in IB. You can go to any of the above and not get it or get it. It really depends on your experiences and the work you put in. Choose the place that balances "fit", enjoyment, and academics. It doesn't matter how well a school places, if you hate your environment, you wont be motivated.

Thats extremely helpful.I once again want to specify I have only been accepted to ucla Umich and IU.However I am still waiting on the other 4 colleges(not been rejected ,applications still under review). However do you feel UM is worth the additional 100k over iu?

I don't like questions like these, as everyone generally derives a different value from their experience. For people who meet their S/O's in college the experience is essentially priceless. However, from a pure cost standpoint, no I don't think Umich is $100k more valuable of an experience than IU. Especially if a significant portion is debt. IF your parents can pay cash wherever you go and its not a burden, then by all means pick whatever you like best. IU also has an IBanking workshop or something if I recall correctly. You'd have to ask a current student more about it though.

Ok guys just got rejected at berkeley.Yes I am a Kelley Direct Admit.I am currently waiting on my ross Direct Admit status. However even if I am not offered direct admission I feel its not going to be a huge issue since theres close to a 50% internal transfer rate-if I cant beat a 50% internal transfer rate I feel there's no chance of me making it into IB.Beyond this I am currently leaning on UCLA unless I am somehow admitted to Cornell Is there significant difference in pay and opportunities between west and east coast offices or is it similar? (Basically would I be stupid to pick ucla over um for finance or is it just a location thing?)

Just location. West coast pays street as well. Lol. Listen loud and clear....ONLY go to uvula if you want to work in Los Angeles or sf.....in la you have a couple good sponsor teams (CS and barc), 1 good Rx (HLHZ), and m&a (Moelis and ms). In sf it's just all tech. La does a lot of media and consumer retail. San Fran does a lot of tech and healthcare. It's super simple because it's all geography. If you LOVE tech you come west coast to ucla. If you don't any other east coast school you mentioned is better.

I was originally leaning towards UCLA because the girls are hotter and the weather is better But my future is really I important so now I will be attending UM (unless I get into cornell).any advice for an incoming freshmen?

Sorry if this is a really stupid question but what is essentially the difference between working in an NY or LA office? Again apolagies for stupid question but I'm Indian so this is hard to understand
