Undergrad option selection for trading career

Hi,

I’m an American high school senior living in Asia. I trade on Asian equity markets and I’m fanatic about it. My interest lies in high frequency finance and would love a career in that field. I have 2 options for undergrad to choose from in the Asian country I’m currently in- (unfortunately I can’t make it for US undergrad for financial reasons).

Option 1: To pursue BBA in Finance from the country’s top undergrad business school of a highly ranked university. Courses like data analytics, financial modeling, Algo trading, python, R, python, R, C++ are covered. School has strong brand value among the corporate circles here, deep industry connections and alumni. Can get placed into IB. S&T is unheard of here. Can work for 1-2 years in this country (which has one of the world’s major financial hub) and lateral to US.

Option 2: To pursue triple major BS in Math, Statistics & Computer Science from a local, city college. Low to none brand value, zero industry connections. No alumni in finance. Can come back to US and try S&T there. Not sure if I could break in with a foreign 3 year degree. If not, I’ll go for MFE.

Which option is better? If I want to pursue MFE does the BBA hold me back since it’s not ‘quanty’. I feel in the short term, the BBA looks good for IB but in the long term the BS is more suitable for my trading interests. Or can I pursue the BBA from the prestigious school here and come back to US, do the required courses in Maths, Stats & Comp. Sc. from community college or online courses so that I meet the MFE requirements?

Could add I’m an Asian asperger who hates human interaction. Pl. suggest.
