Using Bloomberg to find PE/VC performance/analytics????
Hello everyone, I currently completing a case study for a PE fund of funds interview.
Essentially I am to pick 2 of 6 PE firms to invest with if they were to raise a new fund today, so I am trying to find the historic returns and any other data I could use to compare the funds of these firms to PE indexes.
I am attempting to find IRR, DPI, TVPI over various time periods and any other analytic metrics using the Bloomberg terminal. Does anyone know specifically how to find these on bloomberg?
Thanks in advance, I am more than open to any suggestions!
Not sure Bloomberg has that data but my use of Bloomberg is limited. No Preqin or ThomsonONE access I assume?
you assume correctly, only bloomberg...
They have select return data on calpsers web site, as well as on some of the other big pension fund web sites.
PEFP
Thank you both! Is there any other evaluation metrics that are standard among the industry I should include?
If you can find historical quarterly net IRRs for the funds since inception you could plot the j-curves but not sure how easy it'd be to find that information.
bloomberg actually has really good data on PE returns
