what is your age and current situation? are you still in college...
Mid 30’s - employed, full career in the markets just not risking capital professionally.
ok, and so what is your actual job?
I discretionally manage client capital in the wealth management space. Prior to this, I had a background as a sales and trading assistant and clerk at a well known sellside house, and then when it stagnated after 2008, along with some personal growth I had to work on, I tried getting a job in one more well known shop which didn’t really materialize, and I made a decision to take this path.
I certainly don’t hate what I do, it just paid better and offered much more broad and fast growth for a guy getting a family going and it has treated me well, plus learned a lot of really useful stuff at a couple great WM houses, but I miss the creativity and general interest I had in pursuing trading.
ok, and so the same question i ask any other trader / PM
what's your investing strategy / edge ?
for the last few years, whats been your % return and what's your biggest % drawdowns?
also, based on daily P&L, what is your sortino ratio?
