What firms have ended/finished up 2021 SA recruiting??

Hey guys. Sophomore at a target school here (or at least i hope it is as us West Coast schools get shat on by WS) who's joined the finance recruiting process in the last few months. I was wondering if anyone had a list of firms that are basically done with recruiting/interviewing for their SA 2021 programs. I was abroad during the winter, so I didn't get the chance to network on campus and then as I was sending apps to all these different firms (IB, PE, HF, honestly anything at this point), I was frankly startled by how silent my inbox was. So i've only recently been jacking up the networking aspect, but I'm geuninely worried I'm too late for the EBs and boutiques and only have the BBs (big bois) left as possibilities. So rather than divert my energy to network with firms that already have full 2021 classes, I'd rather focus on the ones that I can shoot for realistically. So anybody have a solid list of places that are done hiring or it's too late now?

Thanks.

As far as I know the recruiting process generally opens up for target schools mid-summer in the summer beforehand. For context I’m from a non-target and had OCR in September, got & accepted offer / all set by November — this is pretty standard. I’m aware that as early as July/August the portals for applying open, and even June/July it’s common to have recruiting for target applicants. I really don’t think you should worry about positions for next summer closing up at this point, as we haven’t even touched that early bird June/July recruiting timeline yet. Especially in the current environment recruiting will likely be behind schedule if anything, certainly not closing up earlier than usual. Good luck!

My offer is from a BB so that’s really all I can speak on, but I’m aware these top tier banks take on some ~3000 interns each summer, so I can’t imagine they’re full already. We haven’t even been placed on specific teams yet, as HR understandably needs time to figure out THIS summer’s situation still. Could imagine smaller/more nimble firms are farther along in recruiting though

Thanks for your comments. I’ve just been putting in applications for a lot of places like Citi, Lazard, PWP, and also PE firms like Ares and Blackstone and it seems other students are already moving forward with interviews, so I can’t help but feel anxious that my application’s not even getting a glance.

At least for BB recruiting you’re still way ahead of the normal schedule, so I really wouldn’t worry yet — just stay focused and keep sending applications. No reason to throw in the towel before this summer’s interns even start!

You can't even apply at EVR anymore. I think Moelis hasn't started yet, but I've heard they're pretty set on who they're going to interview. GHL is in the process/it's too late. I think PWP is done. Citi is done. HL is starting their accelerated process, but they're planning on holding another one in the fall so you can still network there. Baird is done. Ducera Partners is done. Morgan Stanley in MP is done, MS NY hasn't started.

CS started their process but it's paused. Barcap isn't sure of when they're starting, but they're wrapping up diversity. Not sure about Simmons in Houston. DB is no longer a BB, UBS hasn't opened their apps yet, TD just opened their apps but you don't want to go there. Lazard pushed back. GS and JPM open July 1. BofA opens July 1.

It’s a Canadian bank that isn’t as successful as RBC. Many argue about the “prestige” of RBC even; its best to work in a bigger-name bank at the start of your career unless you’re planning on staying in banking for a long time.

I personally don’t see myself doing something like TD—> Evercore as an associate —> GS/MS/JPM/EVR/LAZ/etc VP —> MD. I personally know that what I want is 2 years IB, recruit to PE/VC/HF and go to a top business school. TD just doesn’t provide that opportunity AS WELL AS other opportunities. It’s still a great bank, you’re still on Wall Street, you can still do exactly what I’ve described, but it’s not as easy as if you start out at a bank like Credit Suisse or Moelis where they’re extremely well-known. It all depends on personal preference and goals.

same lol. anyone got updates in s&t related opportunities?

Which RX groups are still recruiting? Or are they all underway/done?
