What Shows do you watch?

I know that this topic has been posted on before; but, due to things constantly changing, I figured it would be good to ask again. With the semester about to end, I'm going to have some free time to watch some more shows and wanted to see what shows bankers watch. I already watch Suits, but I'm open to all recommendations.

Not a banker and the show I watch isn't in any way related to banking, but Westworld is an excellent show.

Arrival is a movie I just saw in theaters. That's the first time I've been to the theaters in a couple of years, but I would 10/10 do it again. Incredible movie in my opinion, fans of Interstellar will love it as they're in a similar vein.

Damn, I guess to each his own. After I watched Arrival, I had this warm fuzzy feeling inside me when my mind has been blown. It was the same experience as Interstellar for me.

I climaxed at the climax (not actually, but you get the point), that's how good I thought it was. The ending was beautifully done in my opinion, and the constant questioning of everything going on had me absolutely hooked. On another note, the technical aspect was actually pretty darn cool in my opinion.

Again, to each his own.

Edit: admittedly, I had no clue what was going on in terms of predicting the plot. If you saw it coming, I can see how it would've made it less enjoyable. Even then, it was such an incredible movie in my opinion.

Great Show. There are six seasons slated where each season covers a decade in Queen Elizabeth's reign(I believe).

I just finished the first season, It starts with the reign of King George VI after the abdication of Edward VIII. VERY good acting, it follows the lives of the royal family Elizabeth, Phillip, Margaret, Both Queen Mothers. It intertwines history with the royal family drama. John Lithgow is surprisingly good as Churchill.

Such a waste of time but its fun when you don't want to do anything with your brain

Game of Thrones Vikings

These bottom two are great when you want to throw something on for 20 minutes. Bob's Burgers The Simpsons

**How is my grammar? Drop me a note with any errors you see!**

Archer - yes! Hilarious show and has some interesting and obscure references embedded in the dialogue.

Bob's Burgers - I couldn't get into the drawing style at first (in season 1), but that show has really grown on me. Feels a bit like what Simpsons was in its earlier years when the plots were more character centric and focused.

Sunny's good too. Good for having something in the background or easy to watch

Don't...say, "crack," Jeremy, please not now. 'Cause you saying, "crack" makes me think about crack, and I love crack. So can you not say, "crack?"

Be excellent to each other, and party on, dudes.

I loved The Wire season 1, but didn't even finish season 2.

I was looking for something over the holiday weekend and started season 3, I'm a few episodes in and its just ok. Does it get better? I'm debating whether or not I spend more time on it.

You didn't list House of Cards.....that should be towards the top of everyone's list.

In no particular order:

Man in the High Castle Homeland Billions House of Cards Designated Survivor Madame Secretary The Americans Quantico (for the Bride)

Want to start Narcos

TV shows that I either currently watch or have enjoyed in the past and would recommend:

Big Bang Theory Bloodline Boardwalk Empire Breaking Bad Entourage Family Guy Game of Thrones Girls Homeland House House of Cards (the Netflix original) Last Week Tonight Lost Mad Men Marco Polo (the Netflix original) Master of None Narcos Orange is the New Black Oz Portlandia Real Time with Bill Maher Silicon Valley Six Feet Under The Man in the High Castle The Office (the U.S. version) The Sopranos The Wire Trailer Park Boys True Detective Vice Vice New Tonight

The usual: House of Cards Walking Dead Breaking Bad Narcos

Cant believe no one has listed the following: Turn How I met your Mother

My wife and I rotate who picks the series we are into, and we just finished Revenge. It seems kinda chicky, but I ended up liking it a lot.

Black Mirror is a pretty good one out of the UK. Got an eerie Dystopian take on what a tech-oriented future society would look like.

Suits Sherlock Billions House of Cards Entourage

I still rewatch Suits and House when I'm bored.

When I get stoned I love to watch Shameless, and when drunk I prefer Blacklist.

Other than that I've been watching Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon on YouTube because they have hilarious skits. Like the "Lie Witness News". I'm getting old.

"It is better to have a friendship based on business, than a business based on friendship." - Rockefeller. "Live fast, die hard. Leave a good looking body." - Navy SEAL

Archer. Rick and Morty. (Season 3, HTFU!)

"The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who have not got it." - George Bernard Shaw

The Brink - Jack Black plays a serious yet funny government dweeb embedded in this batshit crazy imagination of Pakistan. Solid dramedy.

Archer Black Mirror (if you like dystopian themes + technology, this one's great) Bob's Burgers Game of Thrones Narcos New Girl (easy to watch) Rick and Morty Seinfeld (classic, like to have in background) Silicon Valley

Shows I don't know if this mostly male forum would care for: Gilmore Girls (like it in the background, watched the Revival - meh) Mindy Project

On my to watch list: Breaking Bad (yeah, I know, late to it) Stranger Things True Detective (I guess at least just s1)

Dropped: Suits - it got a bit boring, and the show confusing hedge fund / private equity / investment banking, and the ridiculousness of Mike left to his own devices on deals, was grating

Bates Motel: Originally on AMC, but is now on netflix. It gets pretty fucked up and there's a lot of murder, and thats really what I look for in a show.

Mr. Robot: On USA and is amazing/ really weird.

Stranger Things: 10/10 binge watchability.

Started Westworld after reading all the responses here. My productivity is going to take a hit these next days...

it appears so...no tv for you!
