I am trying to practice my day trading skills on a stock simulator game before I take it to the big leagues, but all of the stock simulators that I tried out have a huge market delay even when I set the delay off. This made it very difficult to make a trade, as the limits do not really work, and it turns into setting a limit and waiting 20 minutes to see if the trade actually got filled.
Does anyone know of any stock simulators that do not have such a large delay, or at least better than Investopedia?

its really easy to cheat using the delay and people abuse it
Been also facing similar issue and have been searching far and wide for a app/simulator that provides great value to us beginner traders. Yesterday, while i was searching, i came across this app called "Trade Replay" which looks to have been just launched and only has 20 downloads.Nonetheless decided to still give it a shot and it was the best decision of my life. It has truly revolutionised and revamped by approach to learning how to apply trading skills. Definitely would recommend this app. However its only on Android so hopefully a launch on apple store would come soon. Hope this helped! :)

great for tracking/ranking your portfolio against peers and even mutual funds. Good reporting if you want to print out stuff for interviews.
Currently a silver portfolio ranking on my value fund that I forgot about 1 year ago!

Used to be, think he might be charging $5 a month to track your portfolio now. I'm grandfathered in.
Wall Street Survivor or Investopedia's simulator ....not the 'best,' per se, but it's what I use atm.
Whenever i put a limit on investopedia, the stock price has to stay at the limit or below for a couple of minutes in order for it to be filled. I will try out wall street survivor though.

I used MarketWatch's simulator a few years ago, and I remember it didn't have a huge delay. Not sure how it is now, as it could be one of the simulators you were referencing. Kind of limited in terms of what you can do, but I remember it was a good place for me to learn.

Does anyone know of programs that can be downloaded for simulation trading?
For example, I know of the futures simulation trading program Atlas (which I believe is not available for personal use).
I'm not looking for paper money/trading personal account type of thing - but more like simulation trading as if I was a prop or flow trader at a bank.
Open E Cry, Trading Technologies, or Ninja Trader...don't be lazy, do a search first there are multiple threads.

Just found this open source software, this software simulates a market. Looks pretty interesting. Has anyone used it or participated in experiment that used this kind of software? It would be interesting to see results from different education backgrounds, to compare education levels and majors. Let me know what you think.
