Why does PWP take so many kids for Diversity

dinged from pwp.. it is what it is but why the fuck do they take so many from diversity... my resume/experiences are so much better than their profiles

Considering just using anecdotal data two of my three non-diverse friends who applied to PWP got a superday and an offer from a semi-target you probably didn't do as well as you thought.

I have two buddies, both non-core and non-diversity, that were able to snag interviews...one got a superday...you're not the hot shit you think you are.

I agree OP is complaining too much, but with the current make up of the court.......I wouldn't be surprised if it's banned for colleges via that Harvard case

I don't agree with OP, but this isn't a good argument. Affirmative action programs serve to make it easier (or else they wouldn't exist) which means candidates are not held to the same definition of "good enough." Should "good enough" be different for diversity candidates? That's a very complex issue that ultimately comes down to personal values and opinions.

The point is that you can't change the AA program and their metrics of selecting hires is useless to discuss so you can either step up and do better to secure an offer from another bank or loathe about not being a diversity hire.

At the end of the day, many of these banks used to ONLY take rich, white kids. They didn't want brown looking people or gay people and didn't think women could cut it/thought they'd quit to make a baby. Now they are making up for it by trying to target "diversity" and ensuring they have enough women in the ranks.
