Dress Shirt and Shoes
Just want to first mention that I've found a lot of useful information on here. One question I have is if the spread collar does not work for my face type will it be frowned upon if I wear a point collar for business formal? I've been reading and it seems that the spread collar seems to be the standard.
Another question is I have a pair of ecco brand new shoes, comfortable, however I do not know if they are acceptable. I've read that box square shoes should be thrown out--I'm not sure if these qualify.

Thanks!
definitely not acceptable.
just vomited
What is the shape of your face?
A point collar is completely acceptable as long as it's not a ridiculous one (think Goodfellas). Those shoes, however, are not.
Why don't you guys just get personal shoppers? Usually the stores (Barney's, Bergdorf's, Brooks Bros. etc) offer their services for free if you buy the items.
Those shoes... smh
If they're new please return them asap.
Boom! Shoes in the blender, now going for a scratch off ticket to see if I can score some allen edmonds.
Allen Edmonds are possibly the ugliest upscale dress shoes known to man.
the fact that they are considered the go-to brand for banking boggles my mind. why would anyone buy those fugly ass old man shoes when they can buy these for roughly the same price?: http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/to-boot-new-york-warwick-oxford/3173332

Those shoes look awful. Also AE's are extremely comfortable, by far the most comfortable dress shoe I've ever worn.

Are you ******* serious? The shoes in your link are ugly as hell... and they cost ~$65 more.
When it doubt, always go with a classic look.
looks like i've attracted the ire of some Allen Edmonds owners.
i'll get me coat...there is no point discussing this with people who love Allen Edmonds and think the To Boots i posted are ugly. we are on different ends of the style spectrum.
