How to deal with Acrophobia?

Hey guys

I have suffered from a deep fear of heights for as long as I can remember. While I can manage it pretty quickly in European cities (even though some buildings are def out limits for me), I'm starting to think it might cause severe business-related problems once I am in a situation to travel and visit offices in skyscrapers or high buildings. On the other hand, I can take the plane like an average person, and the only moment I feel uneven is at the airports when I am on pretty high floors, like at Dubai airport.

I am in a very junior position in my career, so far, I don't have any problem (even though I am going on a ski trip with my company and you can guess how I feel about cable cars), but I want to find a solution to overcome this silly issue for good.

I was thinking about hypnosis. Has anyone here ever tested it or found an alternative method to overcome this phobia?

I was terrified of heights as a kid and still don't much like them. The best way is to simply expose yourself to heights that make you uncomfortable. Go skiing enough - you'll realize that you aren't falling, it's not that high and you'll adjust to it. Same with anything else - buildings, etc.

The other nuclear option is to go skydiving - I've heard that has a way of pretty quickly curing it for people.
