Fido is quite large research/PM organization means more focused coverage and lots of PMs to service. Can be hard place to work. Access to mgt is up there w/ best in industry. It has kind of reputation for "up or out" mentality and focusing on results (maybe a bit too much in the short-term) and if PM is not in your future, don't know how long make it there. Would be great training ground for moving to other MF or HF if doesn't work out, however.

Allianz is smaller equity group, probably going to be more stable and somewhat less upside. The few people I know are good people.

Both good jobs, important part is just to get a seat on the buyside. Fido would be the more consensus choice, for starting out, and super ambitious types. I would personally (mid-level) rather work at Allianz.
