AM comp out of UG?

I am currently interning at an asset manager and was wondering what compensation is like for recent undergrads at a traditional asset manager like fidelity or Pimco? Would it be in line with ib? Thx

I am currently an RA (research associate) in a similar shop to the ones you mentioned. You won't make the same as IB in terms of all-in comp until you hit Analyst, which will usually be after 5-7 years as an RA, but you will be working much less hours (60-70). Based on my conversations, in fundamental buy-side equity research roles directly out of undergrad at this is generally your comp progression:

Year 1: $85 + 35K bonus

Year 2: $90 + 50K bonus

Year 3: $115 + $75K bonus

Analyst (expected): $275K + 100-150% bonus

My PM this past year: $10M
