American Century Investments - Thoughts?
Hey baller monkeys,
I am a first-year MBA student and just got an internship offer from American Century Investments for the summer. The position will be in NY and will cover global equities. I want to get your thoughts on a few questions here.
A bit about my background: before b school I worked in finance for about 4 years (non IB or PE roles).
My career goal after b school: I want to do fundamental equity investing (MF or HF). My ideal place would be a fund where you have the proper resources and mentorship to do deep fundamental research to gain sector expertise. Basically I want to work with thoughtful, smart investors that can push you to improve as an investor.
What are your thoughts on American Century? Specifically would it be a good spot for me this summer given my goals? Does the firm have a reputation for developing good equity analysts? How about their reputation as investors? Thanks.
Some people (and probably at least half of this board) would shoot a child for a job there. You'll have a great experience, and it sounds like exactly what you're looking for.
