If you're referring to the HY team in Denver and not the new team based out of Boston (EM credit) - very good reputation/track record, their main fund is closed to new investors but has been a top decile performer since inception. Also have a l/s credit fund that is small but appears to have done well from a tear sheet I saw recently. Relatively concentrated investments and buy both HY and LL

Don't have too much detail but if I had to guess comp is in line w/ market, maybe a slight discount given location. Small team but the analysts seem to come from solid distressed/PC shops so assume comp has to be competitive. Have interacted with the PM a couple times and he strikes me as a good investor

Damn pay if this low for (relative) juniors in the industry? Making 200k +/- 10k as a second year associate right now...

As some have said, comp and culture varies by team but comp should be good to great wherever you sit.

Artisan’s corporate benefits outside of comp are very good. For example the insurance plan has no out of pocket expense, 100% 401k match up to the IRS limit, free lunch, and all offices have a stocked kitchen with a lot of drinks/snacks. The offices themselves are also very nice.
