Asset Managers/HFs in Nashville

Hi Guys,

Currently working on the buy-side (L/S) in NYC and have recently made a few trips to Nashville. I've fallen in love with the city and wanted to get a feel for what institutions or L/S funds have a presence there. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

A|B. Duh, they've made a big stink of quitting NYC for Nashville because of the cost difference. Other than that, I am not aware of any. There might be a BAML office depending on what you want to do. They have a big presence in Charlotte. Otherwise, there are a number of tiny hedge funds always running around, but you will need to find them and possibly know someone.

The only difference between Asset Management and Investment Research is assets. I generally see somebody I know on TV on Bloomberg/CNBC etc. once or twice a week. This sounds cool, until I remind myself that I see somebody I know on ESPN five days a week.
