This role could entail a number of things given that the title is somewhat broad. Given that it sounds like this is a passive portfolio management role, as opposed to an active one, you could be doing anything from performing liquidity analysis, ensuring corporate actions are reflected correctly inside the portfolio, ensuring correct levels of cash are being raised , etc.
Exit ops are probably pretty decent if you are looking to work in AM.
