Blackstone Insurance Solutions - Need color

Hi gang,

Im curious if you guys can give me color on BX's fairly new Blackstone Insurance Solutions group. I can't find anything online as to real, useful info on the group as to what they do exactly(other than creating investments for insurers through the BX platform) and which products/asset classes they specialize in investing in. I'd also like to know about what the life is like for an Analyst or Junior Associate in the group, what the pay or comp is like (base/bonus segregated by year please). And finally, how the interview process is and what one should expect at the Analyst level for an Investment Analyst.

There's not much info online, I'd just like some color on it.

Thanks,

Ultra high net worth individuals and billionaires sometimes will front load their insurance policies. Meaning they will tip toe the line before it turns into a modified endowment contract, which is basically a government way of saying you have too much cash in your insurance policy.

Whole life and variable life insurance policies carry cash value. Basically you can put private equity funds inside of a life insurance policy.

They load up the front end of the policy and the goal is to beat the life insurance returns. If the funds under perform, they still get the life insurance as a hedge. If the funds over perform, then they get to access the cash inside of the policy without paying any capital gains.
