Career Advice - Want to grind 3 years in an analyst program

Hey what's up guys... long time reader, first time posting.

Im doing an SA role at BB PWM in NY. I go to a target school and have good marks. I'm enjoying my internship, but I am going to have the opportunity to try to transition full time in a different division or group. However, I need to decide what area I want to dedicate my efforts towards pursuing.

I understand all of the pros and cons of doing IB v S&T or continuing on in PWM. It is just a matter of your personal goals, interests, tolerance of work/life balance. Mine being:

I don't want to go to B school.I want to grind 3 years through an analyst program and then get a position at a different firm, whether it be HF PE or even an associate spot, the biggest factors really being compensation and having some life.

That being said, what divisions or groups do you think are the best to start your career in ? I'm thinking mostly in terms of exit opps, skill set, potential to make money?

I appreciate any advice !

PWM will not get you a HF or PE position., except in marketing/sales The only way to get into PE is through banking. You could get a hedge fund position from either S&T or banking, depending on the type of fund. If you want to have some life, that pretty much rules out banking. So, by your criteria, that leaves only one of those three options. But, it may be better to choose what you want to do, rather than just eliminate the things you don't want to do, IMO.
