I am young and unexperienced, so I want to learn from you guys. I am starting at a big Asset Management firm (Equities) and I am eager and want to continue to develop. I am planning to do my CFAs, but what then? What is my best option to do afterwards. How should I strategically position myself? CFA, move to another big AM firm? Just staying and doing an MBA at some point?

Once in AM Investments there isn't much of a 'track.' You are already in a rarefied air, and just push forwards as you can. Getting your Charter is a big deal. MBA much less so.
I understand that the path to PM is much less defined as path to MD in banking, but are there any typical steps that happen before someone would make PM? Or what age can someone expect to be PM of a fund? Assuming that we're talking about someone who entered buyside AM right out of school.
