Career path of Asset Management

Hey guys, I am currently applying to Yale Asset Management Master Program. But I only interned in Equity Research and Investment Banking during my undergraduate. How should I describe my career plan transit from IB/ER to Asset Management decently? The reason why I want this degree is to prepare for my exit from IB to buy-side. Thank you monkeys
