Corporate Recovery vs. Manager Due Diligence

Hi, I've been an allocator for ~6 years (across an investment consultant and a family office) and currently entertaining two opportunities - 1. Assoc/Sr. Assoc role at a small investment consultant and 2. Analyst/Assoc level role in Corp Recovery dept of a mid-size advisory firm. I'm trying to figure if it makes sense to pivot to 2.

Context -

I lost my job couple months ago so I need something asap but also want a feeling of stability in the longer term, esp. with a visa situation and some times feel like wanting to escape the industry.

  1. Investment consultant -
    1. Pros.: offer in hand, get to stay in the same role, potential exit (with hard work) to FoFs or family offices, power and benefits of buyside
    2. Cons: have to relocate, ~20-30% pay cut with no signing and minimal relocation, minimal firm benefits, vanilla org with limited growth, one level below my previous level, unable to utilize all existing skills, already want to change but will be stuck here for at least 2 years due to visa. Also note, firms in this field are mostly smaller so don't always sponsor and/or provide stability, limiting my options to move.
  2. CRS at mid-size Advisory firm

    1. Pros.: like the problem solving and quantitative skills (missing from current role), stability of a mid-size firm, exciting new avenue and development of new skills, fast-paced compared to 1
    2. Cons: potentially no work-life balance, not sure of exit options, pivot in career after 7 years of professional journey, start from scratch, no buyside benefits, not sure of long term pay growth, not sure of pay benefits but heard they're good

Any ideas, thoughts, suggestions, viewpoints welcomed! Thanks in advance.
