Country-Specific MFs?
Hey everyone,
I'm interning at an AM firm and I've been looking for country-specific mutual funds as a possible avenue for a new international investment strategy. Does anyone know of any fund families that have country-specific (not region or continent) mutual funds? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
As a measure towards risk diversification, investors can decide to invest in the foreign markets. Several fund houses have launched International Equity Funds that are either global in nature or investing in a particular region or particular country. Some of these funds invest directly into foreign stocks while some of them have adopted the Fund of Funds model. These funds in addition to the country specific risk also carry the currency risk.
Matured investors depending on their preferences can allocate a small portion of their investments to International Funds. Funds investing into developing economies like China, Indonesia, Brazil [ Images ] among others are expected to perform better.
