How difficult is it to switch your industry coverage at the top LO AM firms (Fidelity, Capital, TRow) at the Research Associate level?

I presume difficult.
General challenge with LO is roles just don't open up that often - it's efficient that everyone wants to cover growthier or more interesting sectors. The only advantage you have is you get to hear about openings before external candidates, which is why a lot of roles at LO are filled because they even hit job boards or recruiters.
