Do I need to major in Finance to work in FIG?
Hello, I am a junior studying finance and information systems. I recently got an internship with a very large asset management firm to work in their Financial Institutions Group. The issue is I’m considering changing my major from finance to marketing.
I understand that in the financial services industry you do not need to major in finance to work in the field. Does this also apply to FIG? I really enjoy the people, but I don’t want to hurt my chances of receiving a return offer.
