Entry-Level

Entry-level Portfolio Management positions seem to be very administrative. It seems like all Associates do is monitor portfolios, audit, and a lot of grunt work.

Are these positions "Operations" in disguise?

Asset Management Mock Interview

“Markus was extremely helpful throughout the session. He came prepared with the questions that have recently appeared in BlackRock’s European video interviews and explained what each question was actually assessing. Rather than giving only general advice, he listened carefully to my answers, identified where my framing could create the wrong impression, and demonstrated how to restructure them. His feedback on “Why Global Trading” was particularly valuable because he helped me present trading as a genuine interest in execution, liquidity and market impact, rather than simply an area I had not experienced before. He also distinguished professional motivation from personal drive and identified which answers needed the most work. His direct but encouraging approach made the session practical, personalised and immediately useful. All entry level position entail a significant amount of admin work... Sending around dial-ins for conf. calls, arranging travel plans, making copies, getting lunch Get used to it
