FI interview protocol
Hey Monkeys,
I had my first Fixed Income Research summer analyst interview last week (previously has been IBD and PE focused). It went well, despite my background not being tailored to FI.
I have more rounds of phone interviews. The first was 1 hour, with two people (30 mins each), and the second one is the same time limit. However, this time it is with two Director's that oversee their division. Since I do not have experience in fixed income roles, I have two questions:
1) Typically, Directors and VPs in banking don't ask technicals, but want to see if you would fit in. Is this the same for FI?
2) In my experience, banking has been 1 phone interview (not counting initial HireVue) and then a Superday. Is it typical to have two phone interviews and is there still a Superday?
Thanks!
