How's Fiera Capital's reputation ? In terms of prestige/exit opps/culture/work balance? Any other fun facts/opinions people want to share about their London office?
Only good things to say about the culture and work life balance. I did an internship there and It was a great learning experience. I was actually put to work unlike in other internships I’ve done in the past. I am not sure how it is viewed in London but in Canada it is one of the more prestigious AMs. Growing company with lots of opportunities. As for exit ops, I cant give you much insight on that. I am still in school. Hope this helped a bit.
Recent CEO laid off, founder returned to fill the spot.
Comp roughly in line with industry average.
Has all types of asset classes: public equity, fixed income and private equity, credit, infra, agriculture, timber.
Exceptional folks have left to either start their fund, join a smaller (am or family fund) with title upgrades.
Decent size / presence in Canada, recent focus has been in growing US business.
Frequent re-org in middle/back office. Front office turnovers are exceptional folks leaving for better opportunities. Used to have heavy emphasis on non sense DE&I stuff but founder returning shifted gear towards sheer performance orientation very quickly.
