GSAM Fundamental Equity?

Hey guys, was hoping to get some thoughts about GSAM - Fundamental Equity as I received an offer to be an Analyst on an investment team. Currently an IB Analyst.

Hoping to get some opinions on career trajectory, exit opportunities, perception of GSAM within the industry, etc.

He gave me detailed examples of what I should do and why I should do it rather merely telling me to do it. The only difference between Asset Management and Investment Research is assets. I generally see somebody I know on TV on Bloomberg/CNBC etc. once or twice a week. This sounds cool, until I remind myself that I see somebody I know on ESPN five days a week.
