Help with my career path into AM

I recently accepted an internship offer to work in operations at CS for this summer following my sophomore year. I am an Economics student at Villanova with a 3.5 looking to hopefully break into AM. I think my internship this summer gives me a good opportunity to lateral into another department like AM at CS for my internship next summer. I plan on trying to network with some AM people there while I am in NYC this summer. I wanted to see if anyone had any advice on how to make that leap and optimally come out of college and work as an associate in AM at CS or a similar firm. Additional question, with this background if I were to want to get my MBA and had a solid score on the GMAT what type of schools could I possibly be looking at.
