Investment Associate at Wealth Manager - Investment Side of WM?
Given that this topic doesn't seem to get much discussion around WSO, can anybody shed some light on the career trajectory/exit opps of an Investment Associate at a Wealth Management firm? Position reports directly to the Portfolio Manager (which I assume is the end goal in this type of position) and responsibilities include investment strategy development, research, assisting with capital market presentations to the investment committee, etc). It seems like a pretty unique role as the majority of wealth management jobs typically involve a sales aspect where as this position seems to be a more investment oriented role.
