I'm currently working at the AM division of a top investment bank in the greater China area, focusing on ABS (That's right, ABS is an Asset Management business instead of DCM in China, very wiered...) and CDO transactions (I'm not sure if that's the suitable name, it's more like pre-ABS fund, we use a pool of cash to create debt obligations and repackage it into ABS to sell, pretty awesome return).
I've always wanted to work in HK or NYC, to gain exposure to the more advanced market. Is there any possibility to explore such opportunities when I'm in a Chinese-based institution? I'm open to taking MBA as a stepstone, might have a shot at M7.
