Is this type of job an asset management analyst job or equity research?

The job is titled junior financial analyst and it is for an "investment management" company that has and sells units of it's own fund. This fund specializes in mortgage and real estate investments.

Side note: The company ( http://www.umcfinancial.ca/en/).

so the job duties will be: Evaluate financial risk, prepare financial forecasts, financing scenarios and other documents concerning capital management; Plan short- and long-term cash flows and assess financial performance; Analyze investment projects; Advise on and participate in the financial aspects of contracts and calls for tender; Develop, implement and use tools for managing and analyzing financial portfolio; Prepare a regular risk profile for debt portfolios; Assist in preparing operating and investment budgets Prepare company, industry and economic outlooks, analytical reports, briefings notes and correspondence; Examine and analyze financial and investment information (profiles of companies, stock or bond prices, yields and future trends); Collect financial and investment information about companies, stocks, bonds and other investments

My questions are: Does the above job description cover the general job description of a junior analyst at an asset management company? or is it does it describe more of equity research?

Would someone be able to speak about what I can expect in terms of work/life balance, challenges of work etc.?
