Wellesley is considered a strongly corporate environment; I know that the culture there is pretty uptight, and that the "wellesley women" are generally gunners. A lot go to banking, but I dont know about asset management specifically, though my impression is that the student body is excellent (which makes sense given that they are a top liberal arts school that produced a sec. of state).
From what I've seen, wellesley grads are surprisingly common in asset management. I think it has something to do with it being near boston and the fact that women are so underrepresented in asset management. Still, I wouldn't say that it's easy to find those positions, just because there are so few available.
