JPM PB to HF

Hi everyone,

I was recently made an offer to intern at JPMorgan's private bank for my Junior summer internship. I was wondering if it was possible to pursue a career at a Hedge Fund after an internship/full time experience at JPM's PB.

Thanks for your time!

It would really depend which group you are in within PB, chances look good if you are in sec lending or client services with great technical skills. I interned at a top PB firm last summer (GS/MS) and I've seen some CSR that moved over to the HF side.

But consider what you want to do in the HF, and make sure what you're doing will align with the responsibilities.

I am really into fixed income and would like to work for a credit hedge fund (potentially in real estate credit) on the long run. I am not sure what the different positions are in this type of fund though so I can't really be more precise than that.
