Open Survey: The 12-Week Portfolio

I'll be taking part in a stock portfolio contest that lasts 12-weeks. You're allowed to invest in at least 10 NYSE and NASDAQ stocks (long only, and no bonds, ETFs, etc.) and can use margin. I'm thinking of doing a small cap value screen with focus on certain cyclical sectors that could benefit from uptick in economy through March (I'm a bull right now, btw). I'm also considering, given the short time horizon, swinging for the fences and looking for stocks that got hammered on recent earnings releases (as long as it's not going-concern related) and playing the potential bounce back with the Q4 earnings releases.

If it was you, what would your strategy be? Any certain sectors/industries you would overweight for the next 3 months? How would you construct your portfolio (i.e. screening criteria)?

Interested to get insight from all of you who actually do this for a living. Thanks in advance!
